Women all over the world want to reverse the effects of time on their appearance. Some turn to anti-aging creams, pills and other products or to drastic measures such as cosmetic surgery. Much as these methods might be effective depending on the person using the product or the cosmetic surgeon you went to, everyone can get anti-aging effects by simply altering their lifestyle a little bit. The best cure for anything is prevention, and that applies to aging. Here are some anti-aging practices that you can apply:

Get sufficient amounts of sleep. Lack of sleep leads to eye bags and wrinkles that form when your skin is tired and worn out. The hours of sleep that you need vary, and seven to eight hours of sleep might not apply to you as it might for other people. To know how much sleep you really need, switch the alarm clock off for a couple of nights and wake up without alarms or wake up calls. From these nights of undisturbed sleep, gauge the amount of time you spent sleeping. That amount of time is most likely the hours of sleep your body really needs.

Loading up on antioxidants is a sure way of taking care of your skin effectively. Antioxidants cleanse your body of toxins from the food you eat and the environment you are regularly exposed to, such as smog from the cars you get stuck with in traffic. Antioxidants might not clean your body 100%, but it will help your body along its natural process of getting rid of dirt and toxins that are bad for your system.

Drink a lot of water to make sure your body stays hydrated. You need about 2.2 liters of water a day, but it depends on the environment you expose yourself to. If you walked in the sun for a long period, you need more water than the daily amount you take because of all the water you lost with increased breathing rate and perspiration.

Stay away from the sun as much as possible. If you have to go out in the sun, use sun block with 35 SPF or higher. The sun’s damaging effects on your skin include skin cancer and photoaging that leads to wrinkles and sunspots.

Get a lot of exercise. Exercise gets the blood circulating and helps nutrients, oxygen and blood to the extremities and the skin. Exercise also lowers stress by releasing endorphins; the feel-good hormone that helps in anti-aging.

Lessen the daily stress-causing elements in your lifestyle. Stress increases cell death leading to dull and old-looking skin. One of the best ways for anti-aging is to get rid of stressful elements that put a cloud over your day. Less stress means more happiness, and happiness is always the best medicine, especially in the battle against aging.

Quit smoking if you are a smoker. Smoking destroys much needed cells and speeds up aging. Smoking can also lead to various cancers.

Time will take its toll on our body, but helping your body slow down the aging process by practicing the lifestyle changes above will help you enjoy a youthful, vibrant appearance for a longer period of time.

As you know, water is essential for the health and well-being of every person. But most of the time, we are drinking too little water. So I hope this helps remind you how important consuming water is. Here are some of the many benefits of drinking fresh, clean water:

• Water quenches thirst. The awareness of thirst diminishes with age, so older people need to mindful of drinking enough every day.
• It brings moisture and nutrients to you organs.
• It has anti-aging qualities.
• It flushes out impurities, detoxifying your body.
• It beautifies your skin and smoothes out wrinkles.
• It improves brain function.
• It lubricates joints.
• It regulates body temperature.
• It increases energy.
• It releases stress, because dehydration is one of the biggest stressors for the body. Nothing functions well without water’s soothing, renewing qualities.
• It helps reduce weight gain when drunk half an hour before a meal by leading to an earlier feeling of fullness.
• It prevents kidney stones.
• Natural spring water contains essential minerals:
bicarbonates (which regulate acidity), calcium (Strengthens bones), chloride (regulates acidity), fluoride (protects your teeth from cavities), iron (prevents anemia), magnesium (essential for your heart, bones, and temperature regulation), potassium (important for heart and muscles), sodium (balance water distribution), and zinc (help bones, immunity, wound healing, and diabetes control). These minerals can be picked up by the water as it travels through different soils and sediments. Therefore, water from different springs might have very different mineral contents. Nothing is good as a pure spring or deep (tested) well.
